Here’s the interview we did a few months ago.
What is the first thing you do when working into the ring for a fight?
The first thing that I do when walking into the ring for a fight is to say a little prayer to our lord Jesus Christ. A prayer to keep both myself and opponent safe. I also thank and wave to all my fans, family, and friends in the crowd who came to support me.
What is your biggest boxing dream?
My biggest boxing dream is to win a World Title. I have won regional belts but I would love to win a World Title.
If you had 1 advice for young beginners in boxing; what would it be?
My advice to young beginners in boxing is to always stay focused, patience, and have a great Coach. Learn and understand the basics and from there you will blossom into a great fighter. don’t be in too much of a hurry. Everything comes at the right time. Don’t rush the process.
If we open your training bag: what do we find?
Boxing gloves: Several pairs of gloves adapted to different types of training, such as more padded sparring gloves or lighter gloves for the punching bag. For sparring, I like the Made in Japan gloves from adidas, but for training, it’s the TILT 350 or SPEED 501.
Hand Bandages: To protect wrists and hands during training. My hands are my work tools: the part I take the most care of. I take them very long: 4.50m to make several layers of protection on my metacarpals.
All my protection: Mouthguard : Indispensable for protecting teeth and jaw. Sparring Shell & Helmet: Used for intensive training sessions and sparring. Never forget your protection!
